This page says who runs MTB Index, what happens to the data of visitors, and how we handle the data of the athletes who appear in the lists. Updated 7 September 2026.
MTB Index is a project by AnalyzeMe. The data controller is Michael Pesse, sole proprietorship, Località Pont Suaz 173/3, 11020 Charvensod (AO), Italy, VAT IT01207900075. For any question about data write to info@miccoach.it. There is no data protection officer, because the law does not require one for an activity of this size.
The site sets no cookies, has no traffic analytics and loads nothing from third parties: even the fonts are hosted here. The pages are static and the search runs in your browser. Hosting is Cloudflare Pages, by Cloudflare, Inc. To serve you the pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare receives the technical data your browser sends with every request: IP address, requested page, browser type, date and time. It processes them as our data processor, for as long as security requires, under its own policy (www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site running (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We neither see nor keep any of this data.
For each athlete we publish surname and name, nationality, year of birth, the races raced with position, gap and score, and the index that follows from them. This data comes from the public results pages of uci.org and ChronoRace, where it is already published under your name. We use it for one purpose only: computing and publishing a statistical index of cross-country performance, as sports information. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in doing statistics on public sports results (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We process no sensitive data, take no automated decision about you and hand the data to nobody. Results stay on record for as long as their season is needed by the computation: today, from 2024 on.
You can ask us to see the data about you, to correct it (a wrong result, two people under one name, a wrong year of birth), to restrict its processing, to object to its publication, and to erase it. Write to info@miccoach.it: we answer within a month. Race results stay public at the source even when they disappear from here. If you think the processing breaks the law, you can turn to the Italian data protection authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
MTB Index is not affiliated with the UCI or with ChronoRace, and neither has endorsed or checked it. We use their public results as raw material; the names UCI and ChronoRace belong to their owners. The official results are the ones published by the sources. The index, the levels and the scores are our own computations and carry no value for any federation. They can contain mistakes: a result not matched, two people merged into one, a misspelt name. If you find one, write to us and we fix it at the next recomputation.
The texts, the method and the computations of MTB Index belong to AnalyzeMe: you can quote and link them with attribution. Race results are public facts and are not ours.
